removed all of the jammed paper.

printer.
Media Misfeeds
The table below lists solutions to paper jams in the duplex unit, Document Feeder and
paper trays.
SolutionsProbable Causes
Do not use unaccepted media. Use only Xerox-ap-
proved media. For details, see Accepted Media.
Recheck the paper path inside the module and re-
move all jammed paper. Make sure you do not have
mixed media types in the tray. Do not print envel-
opes, labels, extra heavyweight or gloss paper 2
sided.
Unaccepted media of the wrong size,
thickness, or type is in use.
Remove the media, smooth it out, and reload it. If
it still misfeeds, do not use that media. Remove the
moist media and replace it with new, dry media.
Warped or wrinkled media is loaded in the
tray. The media is moist from humidity.
Place fewer documents in the document feeder.The documents loaded in the document
feeder exceed the maximum capacity al-
lowed.
Ensure the media guides fit snugly against the
media loaded in the document feeder.
The document feeder guides are improperly
adjusted.
Remove the misfed media and reposition the media
properly in the tray. Ensure that the media guides
in the tray are set correctly.
The media is not correctly positioned in the
tray
Remove the excess paper and load paper below
the fill line.
The number of sheets in the tray exceeds
the maximum capacity allowed.
Adjust the media guides in the tray to match the
size of the media.
The media guides are not correctly adjusted
to the media size.
Load the label sheets according to the manufac-
turer's instructions.
The label sheet is facing the wrong way in
the tray.
Load the envelopes facedown in Tray 5 (Bypass
Tray) with the flaps closed, on the leading edge.
